Greene County Circuit Court - Juvenile Court Probation Unit
The role of juvenile probation is that of a catalyst for developing safe communities and healthy youth
and families. All officers in the Probation Unit are located in the Greene County Juvenile Office -
31st Judicial Circuit.
The purpose of the Greene County Juvenile Court's Probation Unit is to allow at-risk youth to remain in the
community and with their families, while remaining under the supervision of the Court. Six deputized
Probation Officers, two Supervisors, and one administrative assistant, carry out the duties associated with
supervising juveniles on court-ordered or informal probation. Juvenile Probation Supervision provides various
levels of supervision that are based on several factors including: protection of the community; a risk-needs
assessment, out-of-home placements, and amenability to rehabilitation. The Probation Unit is responsible for
a multitude of tasks aside from supervising its clientele. Administering The Greene County Teen Court,
Evening Reporting Center, and maintaining relationships with and utilizing our community partners and
resources are among the responsibilities for which the Greene County Juvenile Probation Unit is accountable.
